Dad & Tatyana's Garden Wedding

Dad and Tatyana's wedding was so great for so many reasons.. here are just a few

It was relaxed just like them
The weather was perfect
The setting was beautiful on picturesque Phantom Lake
The celebrant (also a friend) did an amazing job- he had all the right words
The food was to die for
The guests were fun and everyone had a blast
The speeches were heartfelt and entertaining
There was no stress
Old and new friends collided
It was FUN

Here are a few of the professional photos (in no order).  There were so many great ones it was hard to choose which ones to put on.  Enjoy.

Dyllans first (salon) haircut

She was sooo scared.. But with a bribe.. She did it! Still have some growing to do, but hey, it's a start!

Cubby houses

Dyllans favorite thing to do is make cubby houses... She has gone crazy in the hotel.. Cubby houses everywhere!

Ellie's first swim lesson

Wow, after watching what the other babies in Ellie's class could do, I felt like we were starting her too late! Poor Dyllan starting at 3.5 years.. Oops!

Ellie's class was great! We learned how to accustom them to water and holding their breath. Pretty much the whole 30 min was filled with dunking, pouring water on them, and singing. Haha. Ellie loved it. I knew she would because every time she is in the water (even the bath) she is the happiest thing ever! It made me laugh- in her class the more advanced babies (we are starting at the end of the term) knew how to glide underwater through a hoola hoop! I guess they do that so that the parents will have to let go of their babies.. But it reminded me of trying to train a dog! Hopefully next term Ellie will get to glide through the hoola hoop!

Funny enough most of the parents in my baby group were dads. And yes, I was the only one in a bikini. I will for sure be buying a swim tshirt for next class! Babies don't care if they grab at your top.. But I cared when she pulled mine down! Whoops!

Dyllans first swim lesson

Both girls had their first swim lesson today! This is the fun stuff about having kids. I don't know who had more fun- the kids or the parents. It was so great to see both of them so happy in the water. It's funny because both Dan and I have tried to teach Dyllan to swim in delegate occasions. Neither of us had much success. I now know why... She didn't want to listen or learn from her parents- she only wanted to play with us. But in a class with an instructor and other kids, she had no choice but to listen and learn.

I was in the next lane with Ellie so I only saw part of dyllans lesson, but Dan said that she almost got out about half way through.. But didn't, and finished the class. I think both Dan and I had made her a little scared of the water by expecting too much too soon.. So this was great. She is now more confident and she even had fun.

She learned to put her head under water, blow bubbles, and kick.. All things she wouldn't do for us!
