Both girls had their first swim lesson today! This is the fun stuff about having kids. I don't know who had more fun- the kids or the parents. It was so great to see both of them so happy in the water. It's funny because both Dan and I have tried to teach Dyllan to swim in delegate occasions. Neither of us had much success. I now know why... She didn't want to listen or learn from her parents- she only wanted to play with us. But in a class with an instructor and other kids, she had no choice but to listen and learn.
I was in the next lane with Ellie so I only saw part of dyllans lesson, but Dan said that she almost got out about half way through.. But didn't, and finished the class. I think both Dan and I had made her a little scared of the water by expecting too much too soon.. So this was great. She is now more confident and she even had fun.
She learned to put her head under water, blow bubbles, and kick.. All things she wouldn't do for us!
