Ellie's first swim lesson

Wow, after watching what the other babies in Ellie's class could do, I felt like we were starting her too late! Poor Dyllan starting at 3.5 years.. Oops!

Ellie's class was great! We learned how to accustom them to water and holding their breath. Pretty much the whole 30 min was filled with dunking, pouring water on them, and singing. Haha. Ellie loved it. I knew she would because every time she is in the water (even the bath) she is the happiest thing ever! It made me laugh- in her class the more advanced babies (we are starting at the end of the term) knew how to glide underwater through a hoola hoop! I guess they do that so that the parents will have to let go of their babies.. But it reminded me of trying to train a dog! Hopefully next term Ellie will get to glide through the hoola hoop!


Funny enough most of the parents in my baby group were dads. And yes, I was the only one in a bikini. I will for sure be buying a swim tshirt for next class! Babies don't care if they grab at your top.. But I cared when she pulled mine down! Whoops!
