Happy Halloween!

Dyllan loved her first Halloween! She especially enjoyed going for a
ride on her dad's shoulders bouncing around like a real monkey! We had
fun! Even scored some candy!

Ice Skating

Every Wednesday and Friday mornings I get up at 6am and take Makenzie
( 11 yr old girl I nanny for) to Ice skating. It's early and the drive
is long- but it's awesome to see a young girl work so hard at
something she loves and is really good at! She amazes me ( and Dyllan)
with her jumps, spins, and moves!

I think Dyllan idolizes her...

Dyllan's 9 month checkup

Today, Dyllan had her 9 month check up with Dr. Quinn.

She weighs a whopping 17 lbs! And is 26 " long. Top 20 percentile!

Watching the Leaves Change Colors

I love the fall. 

I love waking up to the morning fog and the crisp air

I love running with my gloves and earphones on

I love it when the sun is out- and the light reflects an orangey glow off the lake

I love the smell of pumpkin pie, fireplaces, and cornbread

And hay and wood chips from the pumpkin patch.

I love watching the leaves turn from golden yellow to bright orange to candy apple red

I love driving down the leaf covered roads

daydreaming about nothing

I love Halloween

I love passing out candy to the neighbor kids- almost as much as I like trick-or-treating myself

I love traditions

I love family gatherings- and sharing stories

I love looking forward to the holiday season

I love pumpkin carving, and frying up the seeds

I love that this will be Dyllan's first Halloween (she'll be a BEE)

and that Dan will get to experience his first trick-or-treat with Dyllan (and me)

I love candy

I also love that Dyllan cant eat her candy...
