Without Interruption

Mona Vale Headland
I saw this on my girlfriends Facebook page- and thought it was worth sharing:
"Looking back, you realize that everything would have explained itself if you had only stopped interrupting."
- Robert Brault

I love this quote. Its amazing that even when we go through the turmoils in life and it feels like a crazy time, its only when we look back and reflect, that we see the blessings and gifts in it. If we could only just TRUST we are exactly where we need to be right now things will be AMAZING....

After I dropped Dyllan off at her first day of daycare (3 weeks ago) I headed out for a run.  I downloaded a book (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) to listen to while I ran.  Sometimes its nice not to have anything else to think about.  I ran along the Mona Vale golf course- to the headland- and onto the beach.  This quote made me think of my run- and these photos..and in particular living in the moment.

Watching the Leaves Change Colors

I love the fall.
I love waking up to the morning fog and the crisp air
I love running with my gloves and earphones on
I love it when the sun is out- and the light reflects an orangey glow off the lake
I love the smell of pumpkin pie, fireplaces, and cornbread
And hay and wood chips from the pumpkin patch.
I love watching the leaves turn from golden yellow to bright orange to candy apple red
I love driving down the leaf covered roads
daydreaming about nothing
I love Halloween
I love passing out candy to the neighbor kids- almost as much as I like trick-or-treating myself
I love traditions
I love family gatherings- and sharing stories
I love looking forward to the holiday season
I love pumpkin carving, and frying up the seeds
I love that this will be Dyllan's first Halloween (she'll be a BEE)
and that Dan will get to experience his first trick-or-treat with Dyllan (and me)
I love candy
I also love that Dyllan cant eat her candy...

Happy Fall!
