Well... we finally found a place to call home! What a crazy rental market it is around here.. to say the least.. thats probably a whole different blog post in itself. Real estate is SOO different- and so unprofessional- but I guess when the demand is high.. they don't really care to work much harder than they need to. For example: (and I will go into detail some other time.. maybe) the realtor that showed us the property didn't know whether the patio was shared or belonged to our unit- he didn't realize that there was additional storage (in fact- a whole little loft) if you pulled down the attic stairs.. he didn't know anything about getting broken windows, screens, lights fixed.. just looked puzzled when we asked these questions.. Oh boy.. not sure how he makes a living.. and the other ones weren't much better to be honest. Makes me really excited to get into real estate over here.. there is so much that can be done!
Anyway... we found our new place! I will post more photos later- because I didn't get a chance to take any interior ones myself yet.. so all you get to see is the outside and yard + laundry.
We plan on moving in this weekend- starting with storage wars... (have you heard of that show?! ) It will be a war with our storage unit- as there is a bunch of stuff in there.. and we will only have room for about a tenth of it! Big weekend ahead.. but so excited to finally have a place to call home.
