Blaine & Bill and Elaine

Over the weekend Dyllan and I went up to Blaine to visit my aunt Elaine and uncle Bill.. and of course Mylola Maria Sussex- Newton!!  We had the best time- as always.. Elaine and Bill are so great to hang out with- the most accommodating and welcoming hosts- and they always have fun activities on the calendar- and meals to die for.  Like a really fun bed and breakfast- where you actually like hanging out with your hosts!

Hal and Kathy came up with me on Friday morning- stayed for a few rounds of Bocce ball on Elaine and Bills new court- and lunch (Thai Beef Salad- and I will have to post the recipe- because it was hands down one of the BEST salads..if not the best- I have ever had!).  We spent the rest of the afternoon playing in the sun- then made smoked salmon pizzas for dinner (another recipe worth sharing)- and stayed up talking till WAY past our bedtimes..

Saturday we took the dogs to Hovander's farm- had lunch from the Caboose- and worked on making magnets for our fridge- made out of beer bottle tops with each family members face in the center.  In the afternoon we went for a swim at the Semihamoo resort- Dyllan loved the pool.

Sunday we took the dogs for a morning walk- saw 2 eagles (well- we saw tons of eagles all weekend- but these two were especially close and fun to watch)- then headed home- with a stop off at the Seattle outlet malls on the way.  Great weekend, as always, in Blaine!
