| Dan giving Dyllan her first bath |
It was a great Valentines day! Dyllan finally got to come home. We really wernt expecting her to come home so early. The doctors kept telling us to expect her home sometime around her due date- so we thought we had a few weeks at least.
Since we thought we had so much time, Dan decided to take one last ski trip with the boys before she came home. He left Thurs night, and he and Sean drove 9 hours to Idaho where they were planning on meeting Sean's college room mate Sam and some friends. On Friday morning when I went to rounds, the doctor announced that since Dyllan was doing so well with her feeds- they thought she might be able to come home Sunday. I thought about surprising Dan when he got home- and having her at the house.. but Im glad I didnt- because he definitely wanted to be there for her homecoming.
Dan and Sean woke up at 5:30am Sunday morning, and instead of skiing- they hit the road and drove all the way home. They made it back nice and early- 2pm- and we got to check Dyllan out shortly after. We gave her one last bath (she only had 2 total..) at the hospital and did a car seat check- which turned into a nightmare. Apparently preemies dont fit in just any old car seat- and the first car seat didn't work. Luckily Kirty Strand was able to loan us this one until Dyllan grows into hers. Thanks Kirty!
This is a short entry- because we are in the process of moving- and I had 15 min while sitting down pumping to update the blog! Now, back to moving!! More later..
