Belle Arise: Bali Trip

Last weekend I headed to Bali- solo - to meet my work mates for an awards trip.

We stayed at a place called Pantai Lima- where the 10 of us were split between two massive villas:  Villa Mary and Villa Ambra.  The trip was absolutely amazing.

I have spent too long working on this post- only for it to get deleted twice- and now the pictures are all out of order.  I guess Ill just share it as it is- its taking too long to get the photos in the right order.  Dang.  Oh well- you get the idea..

Friday
I arrived and met the group for dinner before heading back to our villas for the night
Saturday
a few of us went on an early morning run- then we all headed out for a day of river rafting down the Ayung River (Ayung means beautiful and it was!)- then shopping in UBud- then a nice dinner at Bridges Restaurant
Sunday
6:30am sunrise yoga in a town called Canggu- followed by breakfast at Tugu Hotel- a family owned property with amazing art and antiques.
The rest of the day was spent sipping cocktails by the pool- having a private massage ($15 and they come to you) and an amazing BBQ lunch prepared by the Villa Staff.  I headed to the airport at around 6:30 and everyone else headed to dinner with the royals!

All in all- a jam packed 48 hour adventure in Bali- but totally worth the trip!  Next year rewards trip is a skip trip in Japan.. not a bad company to work for, I'd say!

Sunrise at the other Villa's private pool- where we spent most of the time hanging out

The lagoon that leads from our villa to the ocean

Dogs were everywhere- apparently dogs are sacred in Bali- they roam free everywhere and everyone treats them with respect.  (Mylo.. don't get any ideas...)

Our own personal dining room with a staff of 10 cooking up the most amazing food- any time.

The walk to my room- with a welcome drink in hand (a basil, mint mojito concoction- amazing)

Our other private dining room- we ate breakfast here the first day.

On our way to the white water rafting - probably the highlight of the trip.  I didn't take any photos though..
