Ive had a few "only when you're pregnant moments" that I thought were kinda funny to share..
The other day I had a work even on and was going to be home late- so Dan took Dyllan on a date for dinner. Dan and Dyllan were still out when I got home- so feeling lazy and hungry I decided to hop back in the car and go get some McDonnalds (doh!). Instead of going to the one thats super close to our house- I drove that extra bit further to one that had a drive thru- so I wouldn't have to get out of the car. I get to the drive thru and am about to place my order and realize that I left my walled at home on the kitchen table. MAN!! So I had to back the car out of the drive thru and go back home... and no, I didn't go back out. Instead I made a quesadilla (probably equally as bad for me). (Pregnancy Brain + Cravings)
We had a few ripe bananas in our fruit bowl one morning- so I chopped one up.. and instead of making a normal breakfast- by adding say.. cereal and milk to it.. I decided to make a banana split and added a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, carmel and nuts (hey at least there was banana and nuts!)
After a long day of errands and chores (ok not really I am just trying to make myself feel better)- Dyllan and I made a pit stop at the mall for doughnuts. We each ordered 3 mini doughnuts.. and i'm ashamed to say that Dyllan only got to eat 1 of her mini doughnuts before I snarffed hers down too. Oops- what a mean mom..(btw I HATE how they now label the calories on things like these..as if I really needed to know I ate 2 full meals worth of calories as a snack)
I finally decided to bite the bullet and order some maternity clothes- mostly for work- as I no longer fit into anything.. and wear my same stretchy black pants every single day. I got my package yesterday- and was soo excited to try on my new purchases. I tried them on and quickly realized a pattern.. each top resembled some sort of cape or shawl with sleeves. Yuck. Am I really that girl wearing a bag with stretch pants? After trying them on with a few necklaces, I decided- heck.. why not just keep em. I'll just wear a blazer over them with a long necklace. Right?
Only when you're pregnant is it ok to go to bed every night at (or before) 8:30pm. My nights these days (yes, even weekends.. *Loser*) consist of work, dinner, desert (ha!), trashy tv (or now the olympics), bed. Dan said it best when he said "you're a boat load of fun!".
Everything these days (especially after say 5pm) seems like such an effort.. so last night instead of going downstairs to take the laundry in off the clothes line when i heard rain.. I thought "oh well... guess it will get a second wash, and dry out tomorrow.." Ugh.. lazy. I will probably have to rewash it now..
The second-to-last one? .... Steve is pregnant, too!
