Happy 30th Dan..ce!

Dan turned the big THREE- OH on Thursday.  We started out the day with a run around greenlake- Ali and Colin- and of course Dyllan and Mylo joined us.  The weather couldnt have been better- sun was out in true Aussie style.

After our run- Colin took Dan out for some birthday beers- while Ali and I scrambled around preparing for the suprise party- Aussie BBQ themed.  We made shrimps on the barbie (Jessica made them- shrimp skewers with pineapple, onion, and red peppers), coconut shrimp, shrimp coctail, a Australian flag carrot cake, crunchie bars, tim tams, more Fosters beer than we knew what to do with... balloons, streamers, live DJ... Colin and Sean and a few guys were supposed to take Dan out wakeboarding to distract him while we set up- they were all ready to go- when they figured out the reason the boat wouldnt start was because it had been winterized that day.  Bummer!  So we had to think fast- they boys decided to take Dan to the Roanoke for some birthday beers instead.  Dan was a little confused and disappointed.. instead of going out on the lake in the sun- they were going to a dark bar to drink.. haha.  I told Dan that we would drop Dyllan off at Kathy's (who was kind enough to take care of Dyllan for the night!!) and meet them at the Roanoke.  About an hour later Dan called to find out where we were- I made up a story- and told him to just come back to the house and we would meet there before we went out to The Bloody Beetroots- at the Showbox.
